1988 – «Объединенный мир против СПИДа»;
1989 – «Молодежь и СПИД»;
1990 – «Женщины и СПИД»;
1991 – «Вместе принять вызов»;
1992 – «СПИД: обязательства, принятые обществом»;
1993 – «Время действовать»;
1994 – «СПИД и семья»;
1995 – «Общие права, общая ответственность»;
1996 – «Один мир, одна надежда»;
1997 – «Дети, живущие в мире, где есть СПИД»;
1998 – «Движущая сила перемен»;
1999 – «Слушай, учись, живи!»;
2000 – «СПИД: многое зависит от мужчин»;
2001 – «Мне не все равно… А тебе?»;
2002–2003 – «Живи и дай жить другим»;
2004 – «Женщины, девушки и ВИЧ/СПИД»;

World aids day 2010

The World AIDS Day theme for 2010 is Universal Access and Human Rights. World AIDS Day is important in reminding people that HIV has not gone away, and that there are many things still to be done.
World AIDS Day was first conceived in August 1987 by two public information officers for the Global Programme on AIDS at the World Health Organization in Geneva. The first celebration took place on the 1st of December 1988.
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) became operational in 1996, and it took over the planning and promotion of World AIDS Day. Rather than focus on a single day, UNAIDS created the World AIDS Campaign in 1997 to focus on year-round communications, prevention and education.
In its first two years, the theme of World AIDS Day focused on children and young people.
In 2004, the World AIDS Campaign became an independent organization.
World AIDS Campaign has been established to strengthen and connect the advocacy and campaigning activities of civil society that target governments and other stakeholders to deliver on their promises and commitments on HIV and AIDS.
From its inception until 2004, UNAIDS spearheaded the World AIDS Day campaign, choosing annual themes in consultation with other global health organizations.
As of 2008, each year’s World AIDS Day theme is chosen by the WAC Global Steering Committee after extensive consultation with people, organizations and government agencies involved in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. For each World AIDS Day from 2005 through 2010, the theme is «Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise», with a yearly sub-theme. This overarching theme is designed to encourage political leaders to keep their commitment to achieve universal access to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and support by the year 2010.
The World aids day theme for 2010 is universal access and human rights.
An international campaign launched on World AIDS Day, December 1, called on the world to «keep the light on HIV and human rights.» Ceremonies to mark World AIDS Day and the beginning of the Light for Rights campaign—which was organized by a partnership among amfAR, UNAIDS, the World AIDS Campaign, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS—involved the dimming of public lights, followed by their return to full brightness.
Since 2009 «Light for Rights» is a supplement to the World AIDS Campaign uniting numerous events all over the globe.
